Mathematics Literacy

Practical, real-world Maths support for learners who need confidence and consistency — without the pressure of abstract theory. We support learners to succeed in Math Lit or transition from core Maths (where appropriate).

What We Fix in Mathematics Literacy

Math Lit marks often drop because learners misread questions, don’t choose the correct method, or lose marks through poor presentation.

  • Question interpretation (what is being asked, what data matters)
  • Method selection (steps per question type)
  • Accuracy & units (rounding, conversions, correct units)
  • Time management and exam structure

What Improvement Looks Like

When learners follow a consistent method and complete practice, improvement usually shows quickly — more marks from accuracy, interpretation, and structure.

  • Cleaner working, better layout, fewer careless losses
  • More confidence reading and interpreting exam questions
  • Improved scores within 8–12 weeks (with consistency)

Positioning

Math Literacy is a legitimate CAPS subject. For many learners it is the most suitable pathway — practical, applied, and exam-driven. We support learners to succeed whether they are strengthening Math Lit or transitioning from pure Maths.

Parent Assurance

This is structured academic support — not ad hoc tutoring.

Math Literacy FAQs

Is Math Literacy easier than Mathematics?

It’s different. It is more applied and context-based, but still requires strong method, careful reading, and consistent practice.

Can a learner switch from Maths to Math Literacy?

Many learners do, depending on school policy and timing. If you’re considering a change, WhatsApp us and we’ll advise the best approach.

How many lessons does my child get per month?

Math Literacy runs twice per week, giving 8 sessions per month. Each session is 60 minutes.

How do parents track progress?

We provide a monthly progress snapshot so parents can see attendance, focus areas, and where improvement is showing.
